Athletics is proud to announce Tyler Spencer as the new Head Swim & Dive
Coach of the Cougars!
Coach Tyler Spencer
brings years of competitive swimming and coaching experience to the pool deck.
A former collegiate swimmer at Thomas University, Coach Spencer has turned his
love of the sport into a passion for developing the next generation of athletes.
Throughout his
coaching career, he has guided numerous swimmers to outstanding achievements,
including appearances at the 14&U Georgia State Championships, GHSA State
Championships, NAIA National Championships, and Conference Championship titles
during his tenure at Milligan University. His coaching journey includes roles
with Chattahoochee High School, Milligan University, and Swim Atlanta, as well
as years of hands-on experience leading swimmers at the summer league level.
Beyond the pool,
Coach Spencer serves as an SEC Teacher at Innovation Academy, where he
continues to inspire students both in and out of the classroom. He is married
to Chattahoochee High Schools Head Volleyball Coach Alexis Spencer, and
together they share their home with their sweet puppy Boone and kitten Blue—and
are excitedly expecting their first child, a baby boy, in June 2026.
Coach Spencer’s
leadership is built on a foundation of teamwork, perseverance, and a genuine
love for helping athletes grow in the sport and as individuals.
