Danny Carlisle

Coach Carlisle has 13 years of coaching experience and has served as the defensive coordinator at Grayson High School for the past two years. For the past two years, Grayson has made the state semifinals and state quarterfinals while having one of the top-ranked defenses in Georgia 7A football. This past year his Grayson defense only gave up 13 points per game, recorded 34 sacks, and only gave up an average of 75 yards rushing per game. This past season, Coach Carlisle was recognized as the Georgia High School Football 7A linebackers coach of the year by Parker Resources. Before his time at Grayson, he had three years of head coaching experience at Cooper City High School in his hometown of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Coach Carlisle began his career at Florida State University as a student assistant under the legendary Coach Bobby Bowden. In 2009, Coach Carlisle officially began his coaching career as a linebacker coach and head strength and conditioning coach for Cooper City High School. In his three seasons at Cooper City High School, the Cowboys won the school’s first District Championship, they won the school’s first Playoff Game and they beat the nationally ranked St. Thomas Aquinas for the school's second District Championship. Following his three years at Cooper City High school, he moved to Cumming, Georgia where he became the Defense Coordinator and Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for Discovery High School and Forsyth Central High School. Coach Carlisle also completed a summer internship through Kennesaw State University’s Football Strength and Conditioning Program.

Coach Carlisle is married to the former Kelle Hardage of Johns Creek, Georgia. They have one son, Freddie Carlisle who was born just this past December. Coach Carlisle graduated from Cooper City High School in 2005. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Exercise Science from Florida State University and a Master’s degree in Physical Education from the University of West Georgia.

Coach Carlisle considers it an honor to join this great program at Chattahoochee High School. He intends to bring Chattahoochee back to their winning traditions. Coach Carlisle is committed t o developing quality men while pursuing excellence on the field, and buidling a winning culture that is driven by our leaders.
